What does the Earth Angel Foundation do?
The mission of the Earth Angel Foundation of Ohio is to send terminally and/or life threatening ill children on dream vacations. Since 1987 we have sent over 200 children and their families on dream vacations throughout the United States.
How are children selected?
Names of children ages 2 thru 18 are submitted to the Child Selection Committee. First, their illness must be medically determined as a terminal or life-threatening illness, verified in writing by their physician. Second, the child selection committee interviews the child and parents in their home. Based on the selection committee’s findings and funds available, the board acts on the selection. Lastly, a joint effort between the families, the child selection committee plans the dream vacation of the child’s choice.
Who can nominate a child?
Anyone may submit a child’s name to the Child Selection Committee using our Nominate a Child form. The child’s illness must be verified in writing by their physician.
Where do the children go?
The dream vacation is the child’s choice, to any destination within the continental United States. Families have travelled to places like Disney World, NASCAR events, Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center, Big Sky, Montana and Yellowstone National Park, and a dude ranch in Texas.
What area does the foundation serve?
The Earth Angel Foundation of Ohio is a local organization founded in Central Ohio. Currently, the funds raised benefit the children of all of Ohio.
How is money raised?
The Super-Cruise-In-Show has been our primary means of raising funds. We do not solicit for donations by phone, but we do have "sanctioned" Earth Angel events throughout the year, and of course, we will gratefully accept private or corporate donations as we are 501 C-3 certified.
Is my donation tax deductible?

How much of my donation goes to the children?
Our organization is comprised of 100% volunteers, no paid staff. Our events are entirely about generating the funds needed to support our cause.
How can I become a sponsor?
Sponsorship levels start at $50.00 and run through Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. All sponsors will be listed on our website for one year. See the level chart on our Become a Sponsor page, or call 740-407-4278.

When did the foundation start?
In 1987, Earth Angel founder, Denny Erwin, along with two central Ohio car clubs – The Corvettes of Lancaster and the Mid-Ohio Cruisers – joined forces to send life threatened and terminally ill children on dream vacations. The first Super Cruise drew 500 vehicles for a 60-mile caravan-style car cruise from Lancaster to Marysville.
